Volunteering

We offer parents/carers and users the opportunity to volunteer within our setting in various roles.

In order to volunteer at the nursery/centre you will be required to attend our 6 week (one day per week) Training Programme. The topics covered are as follows:

• Introduction to volunteering
• Taster Session
• Equality Diversity and Confidentiality
• Child Protection
• Talking with children
• Activities for children

Parents & Volunteers Forum

We are committed to working closely with Parents, Carers and Volunteers to ensure quality of service.  

The Parents & Volunteers Forum is a platform for Parents, Carers and Volunteers to share their views, ask questions and give feedback about initiatives, services and provisions. If you are interested in being part of our forum please contact the Centre for more details.

Employment and Training

Woodlands Park Nursery School & Children's Centre has appointed a Learning & Volunteer Coordinator (Carol St Catherine) who can assist you in gaining employment and accessing education.
