Roles
We have a multi-disciplinary team who are very knowledgeable, skilled and experienced. Their roles fit well together in order to both identify needs and support families to access services across the community.
The Children’s Centre Manager’s role is to plan, co-ordinate and evaluate the delivery of services for families within the Centre and the Community. They manage a multi-disciplinary team, work with the Nursery team and wider locality team and develop partnerships to provide services for families to access.
The Administrator’s role is to register, direct and book families into services. They are the staff members who you will first meet when you enter the centre. Their work is essential to ensure the smooth running of the Centre and is integral to all other areas of work e.g. signposting, admissions etc.
The Early Intervention Outreach Practitioner’s role is to support families in the groups, and the community. They provide support, advice and guidance on a range of areas e.g. sleep, behaviour, boundary setting etc. An essential element of the role is linking and referring families into external services by making referrals such as; speech & language, psychological services, housing etc. They also provide support to families to access 15 hours free childcare for 2 year olds and 3 to 4 year olds.
The Early Years Practitioner’s role is to develop and run the groups and provide quality learning experiences for children and their families e.g. stay & plays, baby groups etc. The role is also to support children into free 15 hours child care by linking with local providers within the area and promote access e.g. childminders, local nurseries etc.
The Learning & Volunteer Coordinator’s role is to develop training, employment and volunteering opportunities for parents across Woodlands Park and Broadwaters Children’s Centres area. Part of the role is to develop parents & volunteer forums across both centres.
