Rights Respecting School
Woodlands Park Nursery School and Children’s Centre is working to gain the UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA).
Using the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child as a guide the RRSA is a Unicef UK programme that aims to put children’s rights at the heart of schools in the UK. Unicef work with lots of schools across the country to embed children’s rights in their ethos and culture to improve well-being and develop every child’s talents and abilities to their full potential.
At Woodlands Park we aim to place the rights of children at the heart of everything we do. We aim to listen to, and acknowledge the views of everyone in the centre, embracing who we are and where we have come from. We think that the process of achieving the RRSA will help us to continue to develop in thus area.
